Hundreds of veterans from all walks of life converged in Kingsport on Wednesday, November 11th, 2015 to stand proudly as the city and community leaders dedicated the expansion of Kingsport’s Veteran’s Memorial.
Located in J.Fred Johnson Park along Fort Henry Drive, the city’s memorial currently has six granite tablets recognizing 375 fallen soldiers from Kingsport. The walkways leading into the memorial include 1,728 granite pavers bearing the names of veterans from all conflicts. The new dedication focused on the addition of 392 pavers to add to the honor exhibited by this park which is a location managed by Kingsport Parks and Recreation.
